Ocean Commotion

Ocean Commotion is an annual exhibit occuring in the fall that brings area K-12 students to touch the products of the sea and coast and to learn their importance in ecosystems and the economy.

The Geology Club traditionally shows our acclaimed exhibit "Minerals in our Lives". Students are often surprised at how the earth's mineral resources are used, in everything from kitty litter to cough drops to make up. We enjoy talking to individuals or small groups, answering their questions, and giving them a greater understanding of the importance of geology.
